Here's a progression plan to develop your dog's attention to you as soon as he hears his name. It's an essential foundation for having a cooperative dog that listens to your instructions. It also greatly improves heeling and helps some sensitive dogs become more comfortable with direct eye contact with humans. The plan is divided into six sections: 1. Capture/Lure 2. Increase Duration 3. Add Signal 4. Change Position 5. Distraction 6. Generalization. Each section is divided into several steps/stages of progression. For each step, you will have: an objective, a reward criterion, written advice, and a video of a training session. During the Training, you can share your progress in a private group and even post your videos, which I will comment on to help you if necessary.
